Hey Friend!
Thank you so much for visiting. I go by Banana and I have a passion for trying new things, traveling, and creating the life I want! If you:
- Aim to enjoy your adult life to the fullest
- Examen your inner self for continued growth and happiness
then I see us getting along swimmingly! Fair warning — since we’re already friends, I will not hold back the personal insight and helpful tips I love to share with my friends and family. This does not mean I am an expert by any means; I enjoy helping make people’s lives easier, especially if I’ve been through a similar situation.
I wanted to start a blog for a while, but always made excuses as to why I couldn’t create one. “I don’t know how to get started; I’m not good at writing; Would people relate or even like my content” are a few of the excuses I made for myself. What prompt me stop making excuses and just do it, you ask?
Life. Let me explain.
It’s been exciting to finally leave behind student adulthood and function as a real-world adult. However, since I’ve stepped into this new chapter, it’s been rough. There were so many challenges I hadn’t faced or even considered because I was a student. These challenges, I like to call the “unknowns.”
A few unknowns include but are not limited to: discovering fulfillment outside of your career, planning a vacation from start to finish and actually going, and cultivating happiness in all areas of your life. I didn’t think I had life figured out, but I, at least, thought I had a good grasp on the ins and outs of being a fully functional adult.
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
2 Corinthians 1: 3-4 NIV
For a while, I thought I was the only person on this struggle bus. I mean, I knew God was with me, but it felt like I was the only person in the world experiencing the unknowns. It’s bad to compare yourself to other people, but I felt like everyone had it figured out except me. After brunch with the girls and a few mimosas, I understood that what I’m experiencing is what a lot of former student adults are experiencing. I mean, how do you function as a 20-something real-world adult?
Thus “Evrything Unknown” was born. Here, I’ll document common challenges faced adulthood, and provide all the tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way; from learning how to love yourself to approaching set backs with compassion, grace and growth.
These are things I want for myself…And I’m 99.9% sure there is at least one person that wants the same for their life.
I hope when reading my posts, you will be comforted, encouraged, maybe have a laugh or two and ultimately see that wherever you are on your journey, you are not alone.
My perspective has changed a lot since functioning as a real-world adult and I have lots to share. Join me on this wild journey, stepping out into the real-world; the Evrything Unknown.
Expect great things, because I certainly am.
See you next time,
Banana 💛
